Transhealth and Bloom Local are proud to announce a new event in the Queer/Trans Valley Emergence Spring Meet-Up Series, a partnership created by and for the local Queer and Trans community to bring you cultural events throughout the region this Spring! 

On Saturday, August 12th at 10:00 AM EDT, Transhealth and Bloom Local invite you to Yoga with Sebastian in the band shell at Peskeomskut Park in Great Falls with local queer and trans yoga instructor, Sebastian Merrill. This event is made possible by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Montague Cultural Council, RiverCulture, and Franklin County Pride.

About Sebastian Merrill

Sebastian Merrill (he/him) is a queer and trans yoga instructor who has been teaching alignment-based yoga with care and skill since 2018. His yoga classes are alignment-focused, rooted in yoga philosophy, social justice-oriented, and trauma-informed. Sebastian first studied yoga in India in 2010 and holds a degree in South Asian Studies from Wellesley College. He received his 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2018 from Adhikara Yoga School & Teacher Training.

Event Details

  • Attendees are encouraged to bring a yoga or exercise mat, or beach towel to practice on. 

  • A $5-$20 donation is suggested at the door via Venmo or Cash. Proceeds benefit Transhealth and Bloom Local. 

  • Covid-19 Safety Protocol: Masks are optional at this outdoor event. Attendees must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
